SHS is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and approved by the Rhode Department of Education.  Our academic program is based on national and diocesan content standards.  It is designed to prepare your child for a college preparatory program in a Catholic high school.  In addition to academics, our exceptional faculty, staff and coaches also provide extra-curricular opportunities for your child to participate in band, chorus, basketball, cross country, and more.

Our Catholic tradition of service to others is rooted in faith, love, and service.  The student body of SHS is diverse, spanning a range of ages, abilities, races, and social backgrounds.  From this diversity, we draw strength and perspective.  We emphasize pleasant and considerate behavior, and we teach that all human life is to be respected and valued.

Religious education’s primary mission is to prepare students for a temporal and eternal life.  Through personal and group prayer, attending Mass, reception of the sacraments and ongoing charitable acts, your child will experience first hand the power and love of Christ in his/her life.

Your child can be given the opportunity to attend a school that has a well-maintained facility with the right-sized rooms equipped with appropriate technology, including classroom sets of Chromebooks, a gymnasium, cafeteria, band room, computer lab, library, art room, and academic support if needed. Due to our small class size, your child will receive one-on-one attention.  The faculty and staff will come to know your child’s individual needs and interests.
