Sacred Heart School provides academic support to students who need additional instructional support in reading, writing, vocabulary acquisition, and math. In addition to regular consultation with classroom teachers, support specialists review prescriptive and diagnostic test data in order to identify areas of need in order to supplement and enhance classroom instruction.
Support may be temporary to remediate a specific concept or ongoing. It may include individual or small group instruction within and/or out of the classroom. Specialists collaborate with classroom teachers to carefully consider and review information available for the student and provide appropriate interventions at the student's level.
Title I Program
Sacred Heart School operates a Title I program, whose aim is to close the achievement gap and enable students to reach their potential. This program is funded by the federal government, and these funds fluctuate year to year based on student need.
