Sacred Heart School includes two buildings, the original school building and a connecting annex building. The school building houses Kindergarten through Grade 8 classrooms, cafeteria, gymnasium, and the band room. The annex building has an art room, computer lab, and library/multipurpose room. The first floor of the annex is the location of our Day Care Center.
All buildings are fully equipped with wireless internet, and every academic classroom features an interactive projector. A one-to-one Chromebook program ensures each student has access to an individual Chromebook throughout the school day.
See below for a virtual tour that provides you with a glimpse of our buildings.

This is the main entrance to the school and the first floor corridor where Kindergarten through Grade 3 classrooms are located. If you pan to the right, you will see the stairs leading down to the parking lot and upstairs to the second floor and annex. The open door is to Grade 2 and Grade 1 is located directly opposite.
Next are the student cubbies decorated with student artwork as well as certificates and plaques awarded to the school for a variety of activities including community service and athletic championships.
Looking down the other side of the corridor, you see the entrance to the Grade 3 classroom on the left with kindergarten on the far right where the door is open. The door on the right next to the display case is the entrance to the office suite. As you enter, you are in the secretary’s office, and the principal’s office is adjacent to it.
Here is the Kindergarten classroom. As you can tell, this is an inviting place designed to maximizing learning and fun for the children.
This is the second grade classroom where you can tell students engage in a multitude of enjoyable and creative learning activities. At the front of the room is the comfortable rug where students congregate for oral reading. If you look closely, you will notice a large scale wooden T-Rex!
This is the second floor corridor which houses Grades 4-8.
This spacious Grade 8 classroom is typical of the academic rooms. All are painted in different bright and warm colors. In addition each room is air conditioned.

This is our cafeteria located beneath the school’s first level.
The area on the opposite side of the green wall is the band’s practice space. With over 40 students in Grades 3-8 participating, the band has become our most recognized extra-curricular activity. Their after school practices are held in this designated space.
As you pan to the right are the rows of tables. Students sit by grade level. There are two lunch periods: one for K-3 and the other for Grades 4-8.
Boys and girls lavatories are housed here. As you can see on the wall to the right are posters depicting important stages in the life of St. Louis Guanella, whose wisdom and spirituality guide our school. To the left of the clock are a few of the Stations of the Cross.
Exercising your body is just as important as exercising your mind. Unlike other Catholic elementary/middle schools in the diocese, Sacred Heart has a separate cafeteria and gym. As you can see, our bright, beautiful gymnasium features skylights and an electronic scoreboard. Here, students learn how to work as a team as well as maintaining good health. In addition to being used for physical education classes, some of our sports teams utilize the gym for practice. Assemblies along with dances are held here as well.
Our second floor annex contains the computer lab, art room, and multipurpose room. It is connected to the main school building through a walkway. The annex was fully renovated in 2020.
This is our beautiful computer lab located on the second floor annex. We believe that starting our students off with a good foundation in understanding technology will prepare them for whatever careers they choose for themselves in the future. All grades come here for computer classes. As you pan to the right, you see some of the computer stations, and a whiteboard with an interactive LCD projector to make learning easier. More stations are located to the right of the door.
We believe that creativity is an important part of learning and that it is important that our students learn to express themselves in art. The art room contains supplies for painting, drawing, and more.
Our library/multipurpose room features a large space for library classes, extracurricular activities, and the after-school program to meet.
